Health Guarantee

Marylynn Dynamic Dachshunds is committed to sending each puppy home in good health and with honest, clear information. Our health guarantee is designed to protect the puppy, support the new family, and set fair expectations on both sides. Puppies are raised with consistent care, clean conditions, and close daily observation. This page explains what we cover, what we need from you after pickup, and how concerns are handled. Please read everything carefully before reserving a puppy, then reach out with questions.

Veterinary Exam Requirement After Pickup

A prompt wellness visit helps catch issues early and protects everyone involved. New owners must schedule a veterinary exam with a licensed veterinarian within a short window after pickup. Keep a copy of the vet report, including the puppy weight, temperature, and any findings. Failure to complete this visit within the required timeframe may void parts of the health guarantee, since we cannot confirm the puppy’s condition after leaving our care. Contact us right away if the veterinarian identifies a serious concern during that first exam.

Covered Health Conditions and Timeframes

The health guarantee covers serious, life affecting congenital conditions diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian, within the timeframe stated on your sales agreement. Congenital means a condition present from birth rather than caused by injury, neglect, parasites picked up after pickup, or normal puppy stress. Diagnosis must be supported by veterinary records and any recommended confirmatory testing. Minor issues that can occur during normal puppy adjustment, such as brief loose stool from diet change, mild stress, or temporary appetite shifts, are not considered guarantee claims unless a veterinarian confirms a significant medical problem.

What Is Not Covered

Some situations fall outside a breeder health guarantee because they are influenced by environment, handling, or routine after pickup. The guarantee does not cover illness caused by exposure to sick animals, unsafe public areas before vaccines are complete, improper diet changes, missed feedings, dehydration, accidental injury, ingestion of foreign objects, or household toxins. The guarantee also does not cover routine care costs such as additional vaccines, deworming, fecal tests, wellness exams, or grooming. Normal breed traits, cosmetic preferences, or size and coat changes as the puppy matures are not covered.

Owner Responsibilities That Protect the Guarantee

Good health is a partnership. New owners agree to provide fresh water, quality puppy food, and a stable routine. Gradual food transitions are required if you choose to change diets. Puppies must be kept in a safe, clean environment and supervised closely, especially during chewing stages. Vaccinations must remain current according to your veterinarian’s schedule. Parasite prevention and regular wellness care are expected. Early social exposure should be done responsibly, avoiding high risk areas until vaccines are complete. Following these steps supports your puppy’s immune system and reduces preventable problems.

If a Health Concern Arises

Contact Marylynn Dynamic Dachshunds as soon as you notice a problem. Share symptoms, photos if relevant, and the veterinary report once the puppy is examined. Do not delay medical care while waiting for a reply. Treatment decisions should be made with your veterinarian, then communicated to us quickly. Any claim under the health guarantee must be supported by written records from a licensed veterinarian. Independent online opinions, messages from third parties, or unverified testing are not acceptable as proof. Clear communication helps us respond fairly and quickly.

Resolution Options

Resolution details are outlined in your puppy sales agreement and may include a replacement puppy when available or another mutually agreed remedy based on the verified diagnosis. Veterinary documentation is required before any resolution can be considered. Return of the puppy may be required for certain outcomes, depending on the situation and the terms of your agreement. Emergency expenses, travel costs, and routine care are not typically reimbursed. Our goal is to handle verified issues with compassion and fairness while keeping the puppy’s welfare as the top priority.

Healthy Start Care Standards in Our Home

Puppies are raised with close attention to cleanliness, comfort, and development. We monitor appetite, stool quality, energy levels, and overall behavior daily. Puppies receive age appropriate deworming and vaccinations on schedule, with records maintained carefully. Social time is balanced with rest so puppies grow confident without becoming overstimulated. We also focus on smooth transitions by keeping routines consistent and sharing those routines with you. Preparation and consistency reduce stress, and lower stress supports stronger immune response during the move to your home.
